Celebrating the Success of the 2023 Diva Spiel
On February 8, 2023, the Stroud Curling Club hosted another vibrant Diva Spiel event, uniting 40 women of diverse ages and skill levels. This annual gathering is not only a celebration of curling and friendship, but it also serves a noble purpose: raising funds for the Barrie Women and Children’s Shelter.
This year’s event exceeded expectations, generating over $2,400 in cash donations alongside numerous generous in-kind contributions. The support from participants and sponsors significantly contributes to the shelter’s mission of providing safety, resources, and care for women and children in need.
