Colby Mules Women’s Swimming and Diving Team Triumphs in Nail-Biting Meet
Amherst, MA – November 15, 2025: For the second consecutive year, the Colby Mules Women’s Swimming and Diving team delivered an exhilarating performance that culminated in a thrilling victory over the #16 ranked Mammoths, securing a score of 152-146. This success maintained the Mules’ momentum from last season, during which they completed an undefeated run.
Key Performances and Highlights
The competition commenced with the 200 Medley Relay, where the Mules showcased their dominance. The relay team, comprising Tahlia Crowley, Kellen Mottl, Lexi Asch, and Eliza Marco, achieved a remarkable victory, finishing nearly three seconds ahead of their rivals.
Crowley continued her impressive showing by leading a clean sweep in the 100 Backstroke, securing first place with her teammates Zoe Fencil and Alexis Coates finishing in second and third, respectively. Fencil’s time of 59.46 seconds now ranks as the 10th best in Colby swimming history.
In the 100 Breaststroke, Mottl added to the team’s accolades by finishing first, while Rhiannon Myhre also produced an impressive second-place performance, clocking in at 1:08.40, which secures her 9th place in the school’s record books. The first half of the meet concluded with Marco taking the win in the 50 Freestyle, boasting a time that currently ranks 14th nationwide.
Second Half and Final Relay
After the intermission, Marco continued her exceptional performance by winning the 100 Freestyle—a key event that bolstered the Mules’ overall standing. The team added to their success with a commanding 1-2 finish in the 200 Backstroke, led by Fencil’s first-place time, followed closely by Coates.
The meet ultimately hinged on the final relay, with the Mules needing victory to clinch the overall win. Rising to the occasion, the quartet of Zoe Buzzelli, Lucy Mackey, Marco, and Crowley delivered a stellar performance in the 200 Freestyle relay, finishing over a second ahead of the Mammoths and sealing the meet for the Mules.
Record-Breaking Performances
Another highlight of the meet included Zoe Antonio’s remarkable achievement in the 200 Butterfly, where she recorded the sixth-fastest time in the event’s history at Colby.

The Mules are poised to maintain their winning streak as they prepare for their next challenge against Hamilton College and Trinity College. This upcoming meet will take place on November 23rd in Middletown, CT, at Wesleyan College, starting at 11:00 AM.
