Students, entrepreneurs, and community leaders are invited to attend an engaging evening of craft beer and live music at The Martlet Brewery & Public House in downtown Pocatello. This event, titled “Pints and Possibilities,” is set for Tuesday, June 17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The gathering aims to raise funds to empower women-owned businesses in the local area.
Featuring the upbeat sounds of Dustin Armstrong & The Remedy, attendees can enjoy not only live entertainment but also a chance to win raffle prizes and indulge in a selection of locally brewed beers. A significant portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Business Women of Pocatello (BWP) Grant Program, which offers financial assistance to women looking to launch or expand their businesses in the Pocatello-Chubbuck region.
Established in 2017, the BWP aims to support female entrepreneurs through various initiatives, including networking events and educational workshops. “We believe in helping women turn their dreams into real possibilities,” stated Ellen Loomis, a board member and marketing chair for BWP. “All money raised goes directly to helping local women-owned businesses.” This fundraising event underscores the organization’s commitment to empowering women by facilitating access to resources that can help them achieve their business goals.
Past recipients of the BWP grants have successfully utilized the funds for various purposes, such as acquiring equipment, enhancing their skills through training, and expanding their customer base. This evening promises not only to provide enjoyment but also to foster significant contributions to the community’s economic landscape.
Everyone is welcome to attend “Pints and Possibilities,” making it a perfect opportunity to network with local entrepreneurs and support a vital cause that promotes women’s leadership and economic growth in Southeast Idaho.
“BWP strives to empower others and make a positive impact,” Loomis added. “I am proud to be a member of the Business Women of Pocatello, where I connect with inspiring professionals to foster growth and collaboration.”
