Celebrating the CIAA: A Historic Athletic Conference
The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) stands as the oldest athletic conference for Black athletes in the United States. Established in 1912 under the name The Colored Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the CIAA currently includes 13 Division II Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) along the East Coast.
