CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women’s golfer Caroline Patterson, hailing from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has earned the title of Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week due to her impressive performance at the recent Terrier Intercollegiate. The Big South Conference made this announcement on Thursday, October 16.
Patterson showcased her skills by finishing fourth in the tournament, which was played on a par-72 course spanning 6,037 yards. She completed the event with a total score of 6-over 222, marked by rounds of 77, 72, and 73. This accomplishment marks her first Top 10 finish of the current season. Additionally, Patterson excelled among her peers, being the top finisher out of 25 Big South competitors and tying for second overall in par-5 scoring with a remarkable -4.
Throughout the tournament, Patterson recorded a total of nine birdies, playing a crucial role in leading the Bulldogs to a tie for third place in the team standings.
Looking ahead, Patterson and her teammates will be back in action at the UNCG Collegiate on Monday and Tuesday, October 20-21.
