Natalya’s Ambition: Aiming for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Career Reflections and Future Goals
WWE veteran Natalya recently sat down with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge to discuss her aspirations within WWE, notably her pursuit of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
In her conversation, Natalya expressed her determination to not rest on her laurels, noting that it has been since 2017 that she last held a championship title in WWE. “The last time I won a title in WWE was in 2017, so it’s been eight years since I’ve won a title,” she shared, highlighting her continual drive to achieve more.
New Championship Titles: A Fresh Motivation
Natalya pointed out the recent introduction of new championships, including the Women’s US Championship and the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, as pivotal moments for her career. Her excitement about these titles reflects her ongoing ambition: “Those are two championships that I want to have.” She emphasized her desire to compete for these titles, especially the Women’s IC Title, stating, “To me, I don’t feel like my career will be complete unless I win that Women’s IC Title.”
Uncharted Opportunities
The veteran wrestler also mentioned her aspirations to face competitors she hasn’t yet had the chance to compete against in a championship setting, specifically Lyra Valkyria and Chelsea Green. This indicates a calculated approach to her wrestling career, focusing on unfulfilled opportunities and matchups that she believes would enhance her legacy in the ring.
