CAA Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Awards – March 24, 2025
RICHMOND, Va. – In an exciting week for women’s lacrosse, Drexel’s Jenika Cuocco and Stony Brook’s Avery Hines have been honored as Co-Defensive Players of the Week. Meanwhile, Riley McDonald from Stony Brook earned the title of Offensive Player of the Week, and Danielle Swietoniowski of Elon was recognized as Rookie of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Riley McDonald, Stony Brook
Graduate Student | Attacker | Easton, Pa.
Riley McDonald led the Seawolves to two impressive victories, accumulating 14 points with 11 goals and three assists over the past week. Additionally, she contributed two ground balls and one caused turnover during a busy three-game stretch. In a notable triumph over No. 24 Denver, McDonald achieved a season-best performance with six points, showcasing five goals and one assist in a dominant 17-8 win. She also secured a team-high three goals in a challenging matchup against Colorado, before delivering another stellar performance with three goals and two assists against Delaware to propel her team to a 16-8 victory and a strong start in CAA play.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Jenika Cuocco, Drexel

Jenika Cuocco demonstrated exceptional skill in the net, recording a total of 23 saves across victories against Delaware and Campbell. She achieved 12 saves against the Blue Hens, limiting their scoring to a mere 10 goals in a 12-10 win, which marked their second-lowest tally. Cuocco continued her impressive form with an 11-save performance in Drexel’s convincing 18-8 victory over Campbell.

Avery Hines, Stony Brook

In an impressive display of defensive prowess, Avery Hines significantly contributed to the Seawolves’ success with a total of 13 caused turnovers and 10 ground balls during the week. In their match against No. 24 Denver, she led her team with six caused turnovers while also recording two ground balls in the 17-8 victory. Hines maintained her momentum with three caused turnovers and four ground balls against Colorado, concluding the week with another strong defensive outing that featured four caused turnovers and four ground ball pickups in a win over Delaware.
Rookie of the Week
Danielle Swietoniowski, Elon
Freshman | Attacker | Auburn, N.Y.
Danielle Swietoniowski marked a career milestone by netting her first hat trick, along with two assists for a five-point performance in Elon’s 14-12 triumph over Hofstra, keeping the team undefeated at 2-0 in CAA play. Scoring her three goals on just four shots, Swietoniowski quickly made her mark, tying the game at 2-2 after Hofstra took an early lead. She assisted on a goal that put Elon ahead 4-2 and spearheaded a critical third quarter, where her two goals and assist fueled a four-goal surge that solidified their lead.
