The Schedule Overview
The Maryland Terps women’s soccer team will enjoy a significant home advantage this season, with eleven out of their eighteen matches set to take place at Ludwig Field.
Head coach Marchiano expressed the team’s enthusiasm for playing at their home ground: “We love playing at Ludwig. I’m biased. I think it’s one of the best places to play soccer in the country, so we will not take lightly any chance that we have to go out there and put a really high-level performance in at home.”
The initial three matches will all be hosted at Ludwig, providing an opportunity for the team to establish momentum before facing opponents on the road. Midfielder Morales emphasized the team’s pride in their home field, stating, “I think a lot of people on our team take a lot of pride in playing at Ludwig. I think if we can start off strong in those three games, it’ll give us a lot of confidence going into Big Ten play.”
With the onset of conference play in September, the team will need to be fully prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. Defender Smith commented, “Those are big games going into Big Ten play. It’s a hard conference, so we really need to focus on getting everything right before we start conference play.”
In addition to regular matches, Maryland has scheduled special events at Ludwig Field, such as Youth Day on August 31, Disco After Dark on September 18, and Legally Blonde Day on October 26, enhancing the overall experience for fans.
The Terps will commence their 2025 season with a solid start, featuring three consecutive home matches. The season opener is slated for August 14 at 6 PM against Lehigh, an event that will be streamed via B1G+.
