Women’s Sports Competition Inaugurated in Guwahati by BSF
Guwahati, India — The Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier Headquarters in Guwahati has officially launched a significant three-day Command-Level Women’s Sports Competition. This event commenced today at the Patgaon campus and features participation from 136 elite female athletes representing the BSF Eastern Command based in Kolkata and the Western Command from Chandigarh.

Inauguration Ceremony
The event was formally inaugurated by Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Guwahati Frontier. In his inaugural address, Kumar expressed his pride in hosting this esteemed competition and extended heartfelt wishes to all the participants and their coaches.
“It is a matter of pride for the Guwahati Frontier to host this prestigious competition,” said Rajesh Kumar.
Kumar highlighted the competition’s primary goal: to identify promising female athletes and provide them with training under qualified coaches, enabling them to represent the BSF at both national and international levels.
