Buffalo Bisons to Host Their First-Ever Drone Show
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 2nd, as the Buffalo Bisons prepare for their inaugural drone show following a game against the Syracuse Mets at 6:35 p.m.
Details of the Drone Show
The highly anticipated drone show will feature a fleet of 200 drones from SkyElements, each equipped with vibrant LED lights. Spectators can expect to be mesmerized by stunning aerial displays that will form intricate patterns and animations in the night sky, all synchronized with a compelling soundtrack.
As stated by the Bisons, “The postgame Drone Show promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience unlike any other in the ballpark’s great history.”
Special Events on Women In Sports Night
This drone show coincides with the Bisons’ annual Women In Sports Night. The day will kick off with a softball clinic from 9:30 a.m. to noon, specifically for girls aged 10 to 15. This hands-on event aims to encourage young female athletes through skill-building exercises.
In addition, a pregame panel discussion will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Consumer’s Pub at the Park restaurant. Attendees will hear insights from local leaders in sports, including:
- Jesse Ladoue McMullen, director of marketing for New Era Cap
- Sarah Tranelli, director of athletics communications for the University at Buffalo
- Olivia Kincanon, head softball coach at Houghton University
- Marissa Packard, digital and social content coordinator for the Bisons
Please note that tickets to the Bisons game are required for entry to the panel discussion.
Weather Considerations
Unlike the previous year when the Buffalo Bills had to postpone their planned halftime drone show due to inclement weather, the Bisons are optimistic that their event will proceed smoothly. The drone show promises a vibrant evening of entertainment, aiming to create cherished memories for all attendees.
