NDSU Women’s Track & Field Team Prepares for NCAA West Preliminary Rounds
The North Dakota State University (NDSU) women’s track and field program is gearing up for an important milestone, with nine athletes representing the Bison at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. This competitive event will take place on May 29 and May 31 in College Station, Texas.
Top Performers Heading to the Finals
Sophomore high jumper Arienne Birch leads the Bison, entering the meet ranked seventh in the West region. Following her is senior Grace Emineth, who holds the 16th position in the long jump. Both athletes are poised to make strong showings.
Multiple Events for Key Athletes
Freshman Nyariek Kur and sophomore Adison Kapitzke will be competing in multiple events. Kur will participate in both the triple jump and long jump, while Kapitzke will tackle the shot put and hammer throw.
Advancement to NCAA Championships
To qualify for the NCAA Championships, scheduled for June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon, athletes need to finish in the top 12 of their respective events at the Preliminary Rounds.
