The Minot State women’s hockey team, currently ranked second in the nation, has concluded its recent road trip without a loss, finishing with a tie against the 14th-ranked Niagara on Sunday. The match ended with a score of 3-3, marking the Beavers’ third tie in their last four games.
Game Highlights
The contest remained scoreless for the first period, but in the second period, Cameron Schmidt and Liberty Miller found the net for the Beavers, giving them an initial lead. However, the host Purple Eagles responded effectively, taking a one-goal advantage just before the second intermission.
With only 1:11 remaining in regulation, Krissy Rink managed to equalize the score at 3-3, ensuring the game would proceed to extra time. Despite both teams’ efforts, neither could clinch a victory in overtime, adding to the Beavers’ recent tally of three ties recorded this week. Earlier, the Beavers also played to scoreless and 1-1 ties during their games against Adrian.
