IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has revealed its weekly tennis award winners for the week ending March 31.
American Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Amira Badawi • Gr. • Charlotte
Amira Badawi played a pivotal role in securing Charlotte’s victories, contributing to a 4-2 win over Brown and a 4-1 triumph against No. 36 Furman. Her impressive performance included a singles win with scores of 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 2 position against Brown, as well as a stellar 2-0 record in doubles play. Badawi helped maintain Charlotte’s success against Ivy League opponents this spring, adding a notable 6-3 doubles victory. Additionally, she clinched a 6-2 win in No. 1 doubles during the match against Furman, propelling Charlotte to No. 40 in the ITA team rankings.
