TOLEDO, Ohio — On Tuesday evening, Toledo police responded to an aggravated robbery at the Barnes & Noble bookstore located on Monroe Street. The incident occurred at approximately 8:12 p.m.
According to police reports, three women allegedly conducted the theft, during which they collected items from the store without payment. Employees attempted to document the suspects’ vehicle by noting its license plate number.
In a concerning turn of events, one of the women reportedly discharged a firearm while the employee was gathering the information. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained during the robbery.
The suspects fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and, as of now, no arrests have been made.
Toledo police continue to investigate the matter while urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
