/PRNewswire/ — Sony Group Corporation has joined forces with Nature to announce that the application period for the 2026 Sony Women in Technology Award is now open. This prestigious annual award aims to support and recognize outstanding early to mid-career women researchers in technology fields such as science, engineering, and mathematics. The goal is to honor those whose work contributes positively to society and the environment.
Applications for the award will be open from March 6, 2025 at 12 AM GMT through May 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM GMT. The three awardees will be celebrated in early 2026 and each will be granted $250,000 USD to further their research endeavors, as well as an opportunity to showcase their remarkable achievements on nature.com.
A distinguished panel of independent experts, including Nature’s Editor-in-Chief Magdalena Skipper and Hiroaki Kitano, CTO of Sony Group Corporation, will assess the submissions based on their ambition, innovation, conceptual excellence, societal impact, and significance.
