UTSA Women’s Basketball Annual Potluck Event

On Tuesday, October 21, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) women’s basketball program invites fans to attend their annual potluck event at the Convocation Center. The evening will kick off with an open practice at 5:30 p.m., giving attendees a preliminary glimpse of the 2025-26 team, followed by the potluck starting at 7 p.m.

Those interested in attending and contributing a dish are encouraged to RSVP to Assistant Coach Sophia Ramos at sophia.ramos@utsa.edu.

Team Preview

This event marks an exciting opportunity to see the Roadrunners as they plan to defend their title as the 2025 American Conference Regular-Season Champions. Key returning players include:

  • Idara Udo – Recognized as Preseason All-Conference, Udo started all 31 games last season, with notable contributions including 25 blocks, 24 steals, and an 8.7 points-per-game average on a shooting percentage of 42.0%.
  • Maya Linton – A significant asset on the defensive end, Linton made 26 starts last season.
  • Others – Siena Guttadauro, Damara Allen, Mia Hammonds, Nyayongah Gony, Taylor Ross, Cheyenne Rowe, and Emilia Dannebauer will also return, bringing vital experience to the squad.

New Additions

UTSA has strengthened the roster by adding six new players, including three transfers:

  • Ereauna Hardaway (North Texas) – A former starting point guard who helped lead her previous team to a Co-American Conference Regular-Season Championship in 2023-24.
  • Saher Alizada (South Plains College) – Known for her scoring ability, Alizada contributed to a championship-winning season and averaged 6.7 points per game last season.
  • Jayda Holiman (UTRGV) – Holiman was recognized on the Western Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team during her previous tenure.

Additionally, true freshmen Sema Udo, Sanaa Bean, and Adriana Robles will join the program, rounding out the new roster.
