Spokane, Washington, is preparing for an impactful event aimed at improving the lives of women in the community through proper bra fitting. The local nonprofit organization, Breast Intentions, is set to host its 9th annual ‘Bra-lloween Fundraiser’ on October 30 at the Montvale Event Center.
From 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, attendees can benefit from professional bra fittings that cater to women of all ages, types, and sizes. Breast Intentions collaborates with various local organizations across the Inland Northwest to provide these essential services.
According to Christine Weaver, the founder of Breast Intentions, the organization addresses significant issues faced by many women. “Women come to us in bras that are hanging by literal threads and never fit in the first place, sometimes to the point of causing physical pain. Emotional scars are there, too, from poverty, abuse, addiction, homelessness, and issues tied to mental health and disability,” Weaver explained. She emphasized the importance of the service, stating, “Our fitters aren’t just helping them into quality bras; they are giving personal attention and care to people who often come last, helping them see and feel their value.”
