TAMPA, Fla. – Recognized nationally for her outstanding performance on the court this season, Stina Almqvist, a senior guard from Penn, has been named to the Women’s College All-Star Game Watch List presented by Herbalife, announced Tuesday afternoon.
Joining Almqvist on the prestigious watch list are fellow Ivy League stars Cecelia Collins and Kitty Henderson from Columbia, along with Harmoni Turner from Harvard.
The 2025 Women’s College All-Star Game is scheduled to take place during the national championship weekend on April 5 in Tampa. This exciting postseason showcase, which made its comeback last season after a nearly two-decade hiatus, will be aired live on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET.
This watch list, created with assistance from a panel of renowned media experts, broadcasters, and other key stakeholders, considers national preseason, midseason, and weekly award winners. It highlights dozens of talented players who are poised to advance their careers at the professional level.
Although not exhaustive, this list features remarkable players like UConn’s Paige Bueckers, Notre Dame’s Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron, LSU’s Aneesah Morrow, South Carolina’s Te-Hina Paopao, and TCU’s Hailey Van Lith, all of whom are competitors to watch as the season unfolds.
Almqvist is having an exceptional senior season with the Quakers, currently ranking third among Ivy League athletes in scoring with an impressive 17.4 points per game and tied for second in rebounding at 7.6 rebounds per game. She leads the Ancient Eight in minutes played per game (36.3) and is positioned 17th among NCAA Division I players. With 18 double-digit scoring performances out of 20 games this season, Almqvist has shown remarkable consistency, breaking a streak of 26 consecutive games that ended on January 4. She is just 37 points shy of reaching 1,000 career points, aiming to become the 26th player in program history to achieve this significant milestone.
In April of last year, the Women’s College All-Star Game showcased 20 of the top senior talents in college basketball in Cleveland, revitalizing a cherished tradition that Intersport first launched in 1998. This thrilling event featured five All-Americans, over a dozen All-Conference players, and four future WNBA draft picks, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of nearly 5,000 fans just before the women’s national championship game.
Tickets for the 2025 event, taking place at Tampa Prep—just one mile from Amalie Arena, the venue for the women’s national championship—will be available starting March 6, with early presale access on March 5.
