South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley emphasized the excitement of returning for the next three years, stating, “We couldn’t be more excited to sign on to playing in the Ally Tipoff for the next three seasons. The atmosphere in Charlotte is remarkable, welcoming fans from all programs.”
Kentucky head coach Kenny Brooks also praised the inaugural event, highlighting the genuine investment Ally has made in women’s sports and expressing hope for another spectacular showcase in Charlotte.
The Significance of Supporting Women’s Sports
Ally Financial is a committed advocate for women’s sports, having previously collaborated with various organizations, including the NWSL and WNBA. The partnership with the Charlotte Sports Foundation aims to elevate women’s basketball by creating a top-tier season opener.
