Historical Context of the Championships
Since its inception in 1982, the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championship has witnessed numerous memorable moments. Cal State Northridge took the first title by defeating Cal State Bakersfield. Most recently, Nova Southeastern clinched the championship in 2024 against Barry, achieving their maiden national title in the process.
