Men’s Combined Events Update
Peyton Bair from Mississippi State is leading the heptathlon with 3357 points after four events, holding a slim 17-point lead over Ben Barton of BYU. Bair has achieved personal-best marks in the 60 meters, shot put, and long jump, scoring the highest with 977 points in the 60 meters.
The heptathlon will resume on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the 60 meter hurdles, followed by pole vault and 1000 meters.

Impressive Prelim Performances
- USC’s JC Stevenson recorded the second-fastest time in NCAA history in the men’s 60 meters with a time of 6.46 seconds.
- In the women’s 60 hurdles, three athletes ran under eight seconds, with Texas A&M’s Jaiya Covington leading at 7.94 seconds.
- Three men finished the 400 meters in under 46 seconds, led by Baylor’s Nathaniel Ezekiel at 45.44 seconds.
