ATLANTA (May 16, 2025) – The U.S. Soccer Federation has officially unveiled the roster of 21 athletes selected to compete in the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship, set to take place in Costa Rica. This pivotal tournament serves as the qualifying event for the 2025 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Comprised of players born in 2006 and 2007, the team will be led by U.S. U-19 head coach Carrie Kveton, with Vicky Jepson set to take over as the head coach post-tournament.
The U.S. aims to secure one of four available spots for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, striving for their extraordinary eighth Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship title. The team previously dominated the competition in 2020 and 2022, while Mexico claimed the trophy in 2023.
Group Stage Matches
The USA is scheduled to compete in Group A, facing the following teams:
- Guyana – May 30, 1 p.m. ET (11 a.m. local)
- Puerto Rico – June 1, 1 p.m. ET (11 a.m. local)
- Costa Rica – June 3, 4 p.m. ET (2 p.m. local)
The tournament will run from May 29 to June 8, 2025, in Alajuela, Costa Rica, culminating in the semifinals on June 6 and the final on June 8. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals, aiming for a final berth and opportunity to represent the region at the World Cup.
