Subhadra Yojana Beneficiaries to Receive Payments on April 24
In a significant announcement, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida stated that more than 170,000 individuals enrolled in the Subhadra Yojana will receive their first two instalments on April 24. This distribution event will take place in Puri, coinciding with the celebrations of Panchayati Raj Divas.
Details of the Payment Distribution
Beneficiaries who submitted their applications by the March 31 deadline but have not yet received payments will be eligible for direct financial assistance. Each qualified participant will receive a total of ₹10,000, dispensed in two instalments of ₹5,000 each, credited directly to their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Complaint Resolution Process
For those who have yet to receive any funds or have only received one instalment, the government has established a clear complaints process. Beneficiaries can reach out via the toll-free grievance helpline at 14678. Eligible complaints will be considered for upcoming disbursement phases following proper verification.
About the Subhadra Yojana
Initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2024, the Subhadra Yojana aims to support more than 10 million women across the state, targeting those between the ages of 21 and 60. The program provides a comprehensive financial package of ₹50,000 over five years, allocated in annual amounts of ₹10,000, delivered in two instalments.
Previous Disbursement Phases
Since its launch, the program has paved the way for substantial aid, with over 10 million women receiving the first instalment and nearly 9.8 million women benefitting from the second instalment distributed on March 8, 2023—timed to coincide with International Women’s Day.
